Our History

Founder's Story

Precious Kembabazi, Childcare01's visionary founder, draws inspiration from her resilient journey. Raised by a single mother in a challenging, divided family environment, Precious intimately understands struggle.

Overcoming Adversity

Despite hardships, community support enabled Precious to pursue education, earning a degree in Records Management and Information Science. This triumph sparked a profound commitment.

A Vision Takes Shape

Witnessing firsthand the crippling effects of poverty, Precious resolved to create change. Childcare01 was born – a haven dedicated to empowering disadvantaged children with fundamental rights:

Healthcare: Access to essential medical care.

At Childcare01, our dynamic, passionate team converges talent, expertise and dedication, united by a singular mission: transforming vulnerable young lives.

Precious Kembabazi, Childcare01's visionary founder and CEO.

Since I was a young girl I loved to helping those in need. Growing up in a less privileged family, I always felt that girls were treated as second-class citizens. I was a victim and always wished for a better world for others .

Later on, I acquired skills and information that I now pass on to children so they can claim their voice and space in the society, and most importantly take charge of their lives.

Therefore, working in my community is a dream come true! Through childcare01 foundation together with the entire team, we're giving these children hope and belief in themselves.
